Holger Danske: The Viking warrior who never dies

Holger Danske is a European legendary figure with special significance as a Danish national hero. In this figure, he saves Denmark when the country is in utmost need. There are statues of Holger Danske in several places in the country, and during the German occupation of Denmark in 1940-1945, he lent his name to the Copenhagen resistance group Holger Danske.
